Listend to that 71"SHOW LAST NIGHT WHAT A GREAT SHOW.lots of rockin tunes in that one.the whole band shines (~);} although pigpen is out sick for this one i believe keith steps in on keyboards during a few tunes. can hear him in that short and sweet playing in the band!!~ i really dig the 76 shows!! the tone is awesome!!~

I love that Oct 71 show. Really cranking it out. And that tone from the '76 soundsystem is gorgeous. That is probably what really got me so into 76 when I first started to listen to it. It just seems that little bit more pure and clear. I'm sure that's what they had in mind on their search for the sound at that time. As we know, they were always, right from the beginning, looking for that louder and more clear sound. Love the stories about Bear and the energy and time he put into the gear in the early years. They just kept on building on top of it all the time, like a pyramid.
